Does anyone know anything about an Elizabeth Jago, born around 1800 in Mevagissey? Her Father was William Jago, a Mariner. She married Henry Taught from Hastings, also a mariner, in Mevagissey in 1817, and he took her back with him.

She's my great (x6) grandmother and I'm really keen to find out more about this side of the family.

Well if it is the same Elizabeth, unfortunately I have not researched forward on this line, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Jago (nee Thomas) born 1793 in Mevagissey.  Certainly I have an Elizabeth on my family tree.  Do u think it is possibly the same person?

Certainly William Jago was a mariner as was several of his brothers. I am descended from a brother Thomas.

Look forward to hearing from u.
