Hi everyone, My name is "Jess" James and I would like some help to find my GGGG grandparents. All the following relations were born in Callington, Cornwall unless otherwise stated and most dates are approx. My paternal grandmother was Irene Jago b 1897 She had a sister called Pearley b1894.
Her parents were Annie Dawe b1864 Plymouth and John b1862. His siblings were James Cook b1857, William Henry b1860, Mary Jane b1864 and Bety C b1867.
His parents were Susannah Lucas b1828 Pillaton, Cornwall and Robert Henry b 1828. His siblings being John Poad b1826 and James b1840.
His parents were Betsy Poad b1800 and John b1783 St Martins. They were living in Callington for the 1841 census. At first I thought he was born in the Isles of Scilly but there are no other Jagos listed there in 1841. There are 2 families of Jagos in St Martins, Looe in the 1841 census and believe this may be the correct line. If anyone out there has some info on any of the above info, I would be very grateful. I would like to go back as many generations as possible, but as you all know the further back you go the harder it gets. Wishing you all a Happy New Year, Cheers, "Jess" Callington, Cornwall

Hi, was Irene Jago a painter? We have a water colour (boats & fishing scene) signed by her & I know it came from Cornwall.

Hi, I've just had a look at the painting again & on the back it says "Evening" 6 guineas, Irene Jago, Highcroft, Uptontowans, Hayle. Hope this helps in your quest.

Hi there, I'm afraid she is not my GM as she was born and lived her whole life in Callington, Cornwall and wasn't a painter. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Cheers, Jess
