Can anyone help me out I would like to find out how to research my family tree?

Hi sandra The way we researched our family tree was we started with birth and marriage certificate. Also we joined ancestry.com and genes reunited we eventually got back to 1675 and found that our descendants came from cornwall hope this helps good luck. stell. | |

Hello Sandra, Depending on which branch of the Jagos you come from will determine which lines you want to trace. I have Syd Jago (NZ Jago who has the same descendants as me from Glasgow in Victorian times) if you need it. He did that part of the research that is mentioned above. I also subscribe to ancestry.com. where you can look up all births, deaths, census records since early Victorian times and shipping lists, war records and medals etc. In Scotland, the records are also now online. If you want to go back further, you will probably have to look at local parish records.
